Place LEDs on free-form shapes

Instead of using rigid or flexible PCBs with their inherent limitations, LEDs can be placed directly on geometric or free-form shapes. The solution for this challenge is the laser direct structuring process (LDS). LDS integrates tracks within the housing to save space. Strip conductors can be applied to metallic base bodies to solve heat problems more easily than with plastics.
