Cut and check SMT Stencils at the same time

A step stencil is a special SMD stencil which has local recesses (step-down) or bumps (step-up) inserted so as to locally vary the solder paste volume. This allows assembly of a circuit board with fine pitch SMD’s and large scale connectors in one work step. In an extensive investigation the production of step-up stencils is checked, with targeted welding of reinforcement foils in the pressure area.
